On the 30th June, the Faculty of Food Science of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW) – partners of the FOX project – invited consumers to their premises to present the ‘FOX – Food processing in a box’ project and the FOXLINK app.

Dr Katarzyna Samborska and Dr Artur Wiktor from SGGW introduced the project and app to the consumers. The general objectives and progress of the project were presented, and they showed consumers how to download the FOXLINK app and how to use it. The FOXLINK app is a platform supporting scientists in their communication with consumers.

The visit to SGGW finished with a visit of the laboratories where they are conducting their research in Food Circle 2 within the FOX project.  Thanks to the support from Elea Technology, the participants also had the opportunity to take part in a workshop introducing the principle of Pulsed Electric Field (PEF) – the technology used in the project to preserve juices and support the drying process of fruit, vegetables and mushrooms. They were also introduced to the other research infrastructure, including the different types of laboratory dryers.
