European Federation of Food Science and Technology (EFFoST)

The European Federation of Food Science and Technology (EFFoST) facilitates knowledge and technology exchange among food professionals. EFFoST creates opportunities for food scientists, engineers, technologists, policymakers and companies to connect and collaborate, with the objective to enhance the uptake of new technologies and developments. By supporting developments in food science and technology, EFFoST aims to advance the production of sustainable and healthy food for all in a changing world.

EFFoST is the European group of the International Union of Food Science and Technology (IUFoST), which in turn is a full member of the International Council for Science (ICSU). As a non-profit association affiliated to 130 societies, institutes and universities throughout Europe, EFFoST has become a focus for European cooperation among food scientist, engineers and technologists.

Role in FOX:

  • Supporting the overall Dissemination and Communication activities
  • Effectively transferring the knowledge and technology generated within the FOX project to existing network of food science & technology professionals
  • Supporting the organization of three European Stakeholder Workshops
